All-American Kid

Here's the slugger!

Go Tigers!

Cameron's playing baseball this summer. He's doing great! He has some great coaches that keep it fun for all the kids. Cameron's focus on the game is improving, but he still forgets what he's doing sometimes. Last night at practice he was out in the field and the ball was coming right to him and he was ready but then got distracted by a ladybug and missed the ball. Pretty funny! He did earn the "game ball" though on his first game, which was a big deal for him. It's fun for us to go and cheer for him and its been a great season!

4th of July!

Mac and Ellie playing in the puddles.

Kelsey and Cam with their sparklers!

We had a great Fourth of July--good food, great friends, and fun fireworks! We went to a BBQ at the Hyde's (they were great hosts!) and our kids got along really well. Ellie entertained herself in a puddle of water outside for quite some time. The boys played the Wii. The kids loved the fireworks we had until Ellie decided to reach out and grab the lit end of the sparkler I was holding and burned her finger pretty good. Ouch! She's fine now. Nothin' like the Fourth of July!

No lip gloss!

Tonight there was a slight altercation between Cam and Kelsey which left Kelsey with a cut, bloody, fat lip. Kelsey was very upset about the whole ordeal and when I told Kelsey that she had a cut on her lip she expressed her greatest concern through her tears, "Now I won't get to wear any lip gloss!" I wish I had a picture of the big, fat non-glossed lip--but it was just so funny I had to write about it. Only Makai Morgan will understand her pain I'm afraid! She also said as she was crying, "Does the Savior feel sad when you have a big cut that puts blood on your lip?" I assured her He cares about her lip. Oh the drama our Kelsey June brings to our life....

The Spiky Look

Cameron asked me recently if he could try "the spiky look" with his hair so we had cousin Keenan teach us how and we spiked it up for church today. I think he looks awesome. What do you think?

Painting with Pudding!

It was rainy a few afternoons this last week, so the pool was not an option so we had to get creative with something to do so I let the kids fingerpaint with pudding. It was definitely messy, but kept the kids entertained for awhile!

Ellie skipped the fingerpaint part of the activity and just went right for the full on face method!

Kelsey just started to get silly after awhile, and Cameron was the only one who actually understood the concept and came through it all mess free!

Bring on the Smores!

One of my kids favorite things about Aunt Ali's house is having a fire in the fire pit on the patio and roasting marshmellows. This is the greatest thing ever to them. So--thanks everyone for getting the fire going and making my kids day!

Good Luck Elder Moffitt!

We took a trip to Michigan last week to visit my oldest sister Aleta and her family. My sister was so nice to drive down here to Lexington and pick up me and the kids and then drive us back home the next morning so we could spend a few extra days together. Blaine joined us for the weekend. Our purpose in going was to wish my oldest nephew Briton farewell because he leaves on his mission this week. He is going to Russia. Briton is such a great person--he gives me hope that kids can turn out okay in today's world and he's going to be a great missionary. We were so happy to be there to hear him speak in church and help out with an open house for him at my sister's house.
