Fall Break In Kentucky and Michigan

Our kids had Fall Break last week. We spent one day at the Pumpkin Patch (see pics below) and then headed up north to Michigan to visit my sister and her family. It was a beautiful drive and Michigan was in full color--WOW! My kids love going to visit their aunt, uncle and cousins. We went to the Henry Ford Museum up there which is full of awesome trains, planes, and automobiles. We had fresh Michigan apple cider and doughnuts--yum! It was a fun get away for a few days! Thanks Moffitts for having us. See you soon!

An honorable mention to our Dad who couldn't come because of work, but because of him we can go and do the fun stuff we do. We have the best Dad ever!!!

At the Henry Ford Museum. Very cool trains.

This was actually at a rest stop on our way north to Michigan. It was the prettiest rest stop I've ever seen!

Pumpkin Patch fun...

Happy Fall Y'all!! All of you who do not live here need to come to Kentucky next fall to just see how beautiful it is! I love the fall. Going to the pumpkin patch is one thing we look forward to all year! Of all days to forget to bring my stroller---this was the day. I had to carry Isaac the whole time and let me tell you it is NOT easy carrying that 27 pound boy all over the farm. It made taking pictures a little tricky. We had a fun day though! The kids pick out some mighty fine pumpkins that they couldn't wait to put on our front steps.

Seven months

Isaac is seven months! This year is going waaayyy to fast. Isaac continues to be the joy of our family. He's rolling his 26 pound body all over the place and is starting to army crawl a little bit. He has the biggest smile, and best laugh ever. Sigh....they grow up too fast.

Six Flags fun...

We went to Six Flags this last weekend with some of our friends the Thiess family. They were kind enough to give us free passes!! We all had so much fun. Ellie gets the "dare devil" award--she wasn't afraid of any ride. They all loved the kid roller coaster and this fun ball pit play area. It was definitely a great day--we plan to go back next summer for sure.

Kelsey, Eden, Cameron, and Ellie on the race cars--we went several times on this ride. Ellie was laughing so hard!!

Cameron with one of his good buddies Liam. It's hard to tell but they're both soaked. They had the water roller coaster open still on a chilly October day but they loved it.

Kelsey and Dad--both soaked too.

Even Isaac took a ride on the jeeps. He wasn't to impressed.

Cutest Cub Scout

I'm pretty sure I can't call a Cub Scout "cute" but I think Cam is one cute Cub Scout. I should probably say "cool" cub scout. He had his first pack meeting last week and he was totally excited. Here we go---starting the world of Scouts! It should be fun!

Eight is Great!

Our Cameron turned eight and was baptized this last Saturday. Hard to believe this kid is 8 now! What a special day it was to see him be baptized. I think that was one of the best things ever to experience as a mom. I loved seeing him in his white baptism clothes. When he was in the font with Blaine he was just grinning as big as he could---even when he went under the water! I know he is a very special boy and I feel a lot of comfort knowing he has the Holy Ghost now to be his companion and help him make good choices. We sure love this Cameron. We had a fun, fun weekend with both our Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Thanks to all who came to be with us on this special day!

Not the greatest family pictures--but it was as good as we were gonna get!

Cameron lost a tooth after his baptism at the dinner we had (a stray basketball hit him in the mouth and knocked it out!). He exclaimed, "What are the chances of being baptized and losing a tooth and having the tooth fairy come on the same day!" He thought that was pretty great.
