Our first experience going to "Thunder!" For those of you who don't know what "Thunder" is...according to Cameron's World Record Book it's the Biggest Firework display in North America! First, they have an air show with huge planes, jets, etc. flying over the river and then they set off fireworks from two barges on the Ohio River and from one of the bridges that cross the river. It was awesome! The BEST part and they ONLY way to go for this event is that we got to watch everything from 34 stories up from Blaine's office which is right on the Ohio River so it was awesome to be inside and away from the HUGE crowds (I heard an estimate of 700,000 people attend this event). What's even better....the Millar's came from Lexington to watch it with us! Wahoo!
Blaine's firm had a nice catered dinner, and activities for the kids to do while we waited for the fireworks! The kids LOVED them! They kept sitting RIGHT next to the windows and it was giving Blaine major anxiety because he's afraid the windows will break and they will fall to their doom. (It did make me a little nervous too I admit.)We had a great time.

Wow, that looks awesome - my kids would have loved this too. And kudos to Blaine for being worried about his children.
That's cute Blaine worries about the windows, sounds like something Eric would say. That is so cool you get to watch it from Blaine's office, I bet it's so great seeing it that high up, and it beats having to step over all of those people, crowds like that drive me crazy!
Awesome!!! Wish we could have been there. You know how I love fireworks!! Is the Kentucky Derby next weekend? Give the kids a big hug from me. Love you guys.
